Insurance danger

Since Hurricane Katrina, clauses excluding damage from wind, water and mold are being inserted into homeowner’s insurance policies across the Gulf coast, as well as in other parts of the US, warns consumer-rights advocate Amy Bach. Read renewal contracts carefully to make sure these clauses have not been added. If they have, ask the insurer to remove them or consider switching insurers. For new policies, seek complete coverage.
