Thomas Jefferson said this in 1802

"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered."

Does this frightening prediction remind you of anything that is happening right now? Banks got the bulk of the bailout billions that were generously awarded by banker cronies in government. How cozy! Banks used the money to buy other banks. The big got much bigger and now they spend millions to sponsor ball parks and advertise on television how much they help small businesses. Am I the only one who notices this conspiracy?
