Are you happy with a one time job? Many commercial accounts will have you clean, etc and then are you waiting for them to call back for the next service?
Depending on the size and type of business, are they an account with the potential for a Maintenance Contract? One of the oddities of business is that too often we are content with a one time job. We may not believe that the customer is interested in repeat services. Much time and energy and resources are spent in generating new business. If this time and energy were spent working with an existing customer for more business, then fewer resources would be expended. After all, once you have established a rapport and have shown that you can deliver what you promise, then a customer is more likely to extend your business relationship.
A one time job is just one step in building a lasting relationship. The next step is to convert that one time customer into a steady customer who thinks of you first when they need the services or products that you can provide. They will look to you for advice and you will be able to consult with them.
Develop your present customers strive to get their business all the time not just one time.
