TAXES

Tax Day

After the chaos of the 2020 filing season, the 2021 season appears to be returning to norm, at least according to the IRS.

Although depending on where you live and what’s going on, the deadline is not April 15th.

For most of us, the deadline has been extended to April 18th as April 15th, Emancipation Day, is a holiday in Washington, D.C.

Those of you in Maine and Massachusetts have until April 19th to file your Federal Returns, as April 18th is Patriot’s Day in those two states.

Finally, for you procrastinators, requesting an extension the deadline is October 17th.

Even though we may grouse about paying taxes and complain about the current state of affairs, we still live in one of, if not the greatest, country in the world. So we grin and bear it.
